The Laboratories for Experimentation and Research of Audiovisual Technologies - XPTA.LAB is an initiative of the Audiovisual Secretary from the Brazil's Ministry of Culture
and intends to, among other objectives, promote the consolidation of laboratories focused on research and experimentation of audiovisual technologies in order to instigate the discussion related to
the impact and potentialities of new medias.
LabTEVE integrates the project
"Immersive and Interactive Virtuality Based on Cloud Computing - Suport and Development of Multiuser and Distributed Virtual and Augmented Reality
Content for Digital TV, Mobile and PC". The project was headed by the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and includes the associated laboratories: LabTEVE (Federal University of
Paraíba), Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Corollarium Tecnologia, State university of São Paulo (UNESP) and Abútua Tecnologia.
The present project provides infrastructure to distribution of 3D and artistic content through virtual museums. In order to achieve that goal,
the group developed a platform to virtual expositions with the exposition of the first collections.
Architecture used for composing and distribution of collections.
With this architecture is possible to quickly publish expositions, allowing spread of information and culture. The archictecture is composed by two modules:
curator and visitor. Curator module is used to compose collections and to publish the exposition. The visitor module can be used by Internet and allow users choosing the expositions, visualize
them and interct with the pieces.

The architecture allowed composing the Museu3I (imersive, interactive, itinerant). It already has two expositions: Archaeology from Paraíba and
Orthodontic deformations. The pieces were acquired with a 3D scanner.
